Awarded a gold award at the iCAN 2017 Global Technology Solutions Competition in Toronto, Canada, water treatment technology MET (Mechanical Energy Technologies) is a new technology capable of simultaneously processing water supplied for domestic use, water used for industrial production and industrial wastewater.
Contrary to conventional water treatment systems that mainly use filtration technology as the foundation, use filter elements to remove impurities in the water, use chemicals to balance pH and materials that need to be replaced periodically. MET technology develops in a different direction, friendly with the environment and human health.
MET technology applies the principle of forming a natural filter and a synthetic physical action mechanism that separates the water flow into three groups (liquid, solid, and gas) to thoroughly treat water sources. The whole machine does not work with water flow, but in the form of ionic molecules, which are water dust that operates in an anaerobic environment without oxygen, using mechanical energy generated from the water pressure itself.
For polluted water sources, the combined system uses a mixture of substances including salt, lime, vinegar and glass water, substances that are inherently beneficial to human health. This mixture is mixed in a certain ratio suitable to the pollution level of water sources to treat components such as microorganisms, bacteria and suspended solids in the water.
MET technology completely removes harmful minerals such as iron alum and thoroughly treats gases such as methane, hydrogen … Through testing, MET technology produces water quality that meets the standards of the Ministry of Health and Directorate for Standards, Metrology and Quality under the Ministry of Science and Technology recognized with safety indicators and domestic water standards.

Mr. Nguyen Thanh Son (Tu Son district, Bac Ninh) highly appreciated the convenience of the MET system in the first time. Users don’t need to change sand, different materials like the old treatment method, he also told us how to “test” the application quality water simply through tea making: “normally brew tea with gray color, when mixed with treated water of MET technology, tea water has a beautiful yellow color and aroma”.

This new water treatment technology is a practical solution in the context of environmental pollution causing scarcity of clean water, especially in rural residential areas where households only use basic water filtration methods such as coal filtration, sand filtration or boiling water sources, and water treatment systems often require high installation and operating costs.
After being deployed at homes, factories, companies in Bac Ninh, Hai Phong, Hai Duong, Ho Chi Minh City …, MET technology shows economic efficiency in the characteristics of long life, cost low investment, easy maintenance, using domestically produced materials, water source after treatment safe for human health, livestock and plants.
